ctrlHack is a persistent browser based game (PBBG) based on hacking. While there are other hacking simulators out there, I strive to bring something different to the scene. While most rely on command line structures and are heavy into being more of text based applications, I wish to break from this monotony and bring people a role play experience they can actually get into and show their friends. Think about the old NORAD spoof from way back in the day.

While there will be a good feel for hacking computers, servers and what not, you will also get a visual appeal for the actions you are causing. Maybe it’s a website you are defacing for political reasons or a server you are stealing encrypted files from, you actually get to see the conquences of your actions. And to keep you on the edge, there will be puzzles and riddles to put together throughout the life the game. Some peices may be from sites you may have already hacked and you need to take your terminal command line knowledge to and pry open the secrets.

The propose of ctrlHack is to immerse you into an underground world that isn’t boring or easy, but visually appealing and challenging.  Solve the puzzles, hack the planet and take down the other hackers all in a days work.

ctrlHack provides the server, you provide the skill.
